You hear a train whistle blow and see the faint flicker of its lights in the distance. The railroad might be your only chance at escaping. You take a deep breath in, and the foul odor of rotting flesh fills your nose. You almost gag at the stench but slap a hand silently over your mouth at the last second. You know you must refrain from making even the slightest of sounds. For if you do, they will surely get you. You move one foot, then the other, treading quietly across the wooden floor beneath you, mindfully avoiding the rickety boards scattered about the room. You pause momentarily as the thought of what lies just feet beneath you takes hold, sending a shutter throughout your entire body. You push the thoughts as far away as possible and continue your journey. Your progress is painstakingly slow, as every movement you make across the floor must be done from memory. It's pitch black now that the train has passed, but you're sure your breath is making small clouds of condensation in front of you. You instinctively hug your arms to your torso, attempting to rub away the sharp chill of the air.
You make it across the room and stretch a hand out into the void, feeling your way carefully across the wall until your fingers grasp the rusted iron lock of the door. This is it. You've got one shot, and you've got to be quick. In one motion, you scoop the key you stole from your pocket, thrust it into the lock, and turn the knob as you topple out of the building and onto the rough terrain before you. You see the tracks ahead and know another train will be here any moment. You're sprinting, moving with a force far beyond your own. You're going to make it. A slight grin begins to form, and your shoulders relax for the first time in what feels like forever. You're free. You've done it.
You go to take the final step onto the rocky hill that leads up to the tracks when suddenly, you're unable to move. Your leg appears to be stuck. Maybe your foot got caught between two of the rocks. You look back, ready to free it, but to your horror, a pale yellow hand is wrapped around your ankle, clawing into your flesh with its taloned nails. You try and scream, but nothing comes out. You pull, tug, and grasp desperately at the bearings around you, but you feel yourself beginning to be dragged backward. You look back at your captor, its face gaunt and sallow. Its big red eyes float in black sunken sockets. Its black void of a mouth has turned into a grin, revealing rows of sharp decaying fangs. It's pleased with itself. It's stopped you. You've failed. Your stomach sinks as you accept your fate. You know this is where you shall forever remain. Here, in the terrifying confines of the place you'd always been warned about, The Haunted Depot.

Are you ready to see what lies within Ringgold's Haunted Depot? A place riddled with ghouls, goblins, and ghosts of all kinds prepared to pull you under at any moment. A thrilling adventure awaits you. Stroll through the seriously haunted Historic Ringgold Depot if you dare.

  • Family Had a Great TIme

We attended this haunted house last October and had a great time! The ghost tour was fun and interesting and reminded me of camping days telling spooky stories. There were no jump scares or anything, so good for the younger kids. The hayride was a trailer ride to a little bonfire where they had some concessions and was not haunted at all. The depot (their haunted house) was scary and fun, enough to get the heart rate going and come out in the end laughing. Perfect family night!

  • Exhilarating!!

Exhilarating!! Liked the scenes and the horror. It was done so well. The actors knew their craft really well and executed to perfection. The ghost tour was quite interesting. Great learning about the history and the past. It was a bus full of people and we went about all the creepy places. Stories about the doctor were interesting. It was an amazing night!!

  • No intense scares

Our eldest son had done the ghost tour and it was on his recommendation that the rest of the family head to the Depot. The ghost tour was done in the dark, and hence, we could not see things in detail. Next we did the hayride. There was no intense scares, and the bonfire was small as well. The food and hot chocolate was yummy. The haunted house had well-appointed rooms with different themes. Few of the scares there startled my wife and daughter. The house was also my favorite. I would say the haunt was okay.

  • Email Verified Absolutely loved it....

My bf absolutely loved it. I loved the way the attractions were broken up into sessions. The haunted house had creepy interiors and some good enough scare moments. The hayride through the woods was plain fun, even though there weren’t many scares on the way. If you don’t wish to do the hayride, don’t pay for it. The bonfire was a let-down as it had insufficient seating and more people. Refreshments were yummy awesome. Worth going to.

  • Ghost tour awesome...

The lines were rather long, we couldn’t do the hayride. I would suggest that you don’t go for combo tickets if it is crowded. The haunted house was the best part. It had great sets, decent scares and actors who knew their job well enough. The hayride through the dark woods was fun. Not much scares to impress though. The snacks and the bonfire helped us relax. The ghost tour was good. But nothing over the top.

  • Email Verified Great fun...

I have always been a fan of ghost tours. It is intriguing to be in a place and listen to all the sinister stories that happened once upon a time. We were put on a bus and taken to old, worn outbuildings. It was mystic fun. The guide was friendly. He was knowledgeable about the whole thing. It was a great time on the ghost tour. The haunted house was superb. They had enough of scares to make us scream. It was fun!

  • Email Verified Loads of horror stories

One of the best ghost tours I have ever had. This is one thing you cannot even anticipate how it is going to go. Had a round trip around old buildings and monuments. It was fun. Loads of horror stories and their evidences on display and we had a good, knowledgeable guide to help us through. It was creepy and fun. The haunt house was superb….. the set was humongous and replete with fear. There were plenty of special effects and animatronics and it was amazing. It was a wonderful evening.

  • Love This Place!

The Ringgold Depot is a such a cool place to have a haunted house! Its an old train depot that they transform into a haunted house for October. I thought it was pretty scary, but not nightmares for a year scary, which is just right for me. Its really dark and its a maze and loud music playing, car horns and screams throughout. The price is great- $10. They also have a ghost tour, where they ride around town and tell you stories of the dead and they stop at the cemetery. There is a hayride, but its not scary- for families to go down to a bonfire. They always have live music, so there is some entertainment while you wait in line. Overall, pretty good night for the money.
