Madison Square
Savannah, GA 31401
Madison Square in Savannah is a gorgeous place to take a stroll and enjoy what the city has to offer. It is located on Bull Street, between East Harris and East Charlton streets. Madison Square was named after our fourth president and is known to be a hot spot for paranormal activity. In the heart of the square sits a bronze monument of Sergeant William Jasper that was designed in 1837. Jasper died during the Siege of Savannah, along with a number of soldiers. It has been said that Jasper and the other soldiers who lost their life in the area haunt the site to this day. Stories say most of the men who were terribly wounded were thrown into the mass graves around the location, while they were still alive! It's no surprise that their spirits wouldn't be at rest.

Didn't feel anything remotely odd about this square. With that said, I give Madison Square in Savannah 5 pumpkins for its beauty and history.
