In 2000 I was assigned to room 601. My roommate and I both witnessed several paranormal situations, the main one being the falling scream. It absolutely happened, we both heard it and so did our neighbors in 600 (we all came to the doors to see what it was).
Immediately following the falling scream, what seemed like a low pressure wind blew through the ceiling tile gap and pulled a tile up into the gap in our bathroom area. It took almost an hour for us to get up the nerve to look up there and replace the tile. Nothing was found up there when we looked. It wasn't until much later that we found out 600/601 was a known haunted site.

I stayed in 416 and you will always hear a stool scraping as there are people that stay up late at night and the sound travels really well. I probably annoyed a few people myself. (Yeah they only give you stools to sit on for your drawing table)
As for the marbles, I always heard those in any room I stayed in Oglethorpe. I hear it's a thing with "dorms" to have that marble dropping sound.
The real haunt is room 600/601 as in front of those rooms someone committed suicide and on a slow night where everyone was out an about I heard this falling scream out of nowhere.
